Knit your own Beekeeper Quilt by Tiny Owl! A perfect gift for yourself or a loved one, friend who knits. The finished quilt is a treasured heirloom, as you use up scraps from other projects you preserve a little bit of each memory with each piece. Highly portable and very satisfying for those of us who have only little bits of time here and there to knit.
You will receive everything you need to get started on your own quilt. These are the official pattern printed on hard stock (We bought them that way :). No need to worry about your pattern getting crumpled whilst you learn--Besides after about the fourth hexipuff, you'll know it by heart! It's genius that way.
Your kit includes:
--3 qty, size 4, 5" Double Pointed Bamboo needles (that's all you need!)
--10 qty, 24 yard mini skeins (240 yards total!) of commercial fingering, sock weight yarn in
varying colors (Those shown are just examples, you may get different colors, each makes
approximately 2 hexipuffs) . BTW, regardless the option you choose ( commercial or
handpainted, we only send washable yarns for our kits <3

-- Official Tiny Owl Hexipuff pattern printed on heavy cardstock
-- 1 plastic page protector with holes-you can easily add this to a pattern binder for safe
keeping :) (not pictured)
-- one ounce of recycled (yay!) poly fill for your new hexipuffs! (not pictured)
-- one small lavender or cedar sachet. Perfect for storing and protecting your hexipuffs from
--10 handpainted mini skeins, 24 yards each (again, 240 yards total!) *** If you choose the later option, it can take 5-7 extra days to process your order so we can dye the minis. Dyeing them when you order makes it possible for you to express color, finish preferences (like solids, variegated...). The base for the handpainted yarns is a high twist, 100% Superwash Merino sock weight yarn.
A few notes...
--The skeins and hexipuffs pictured here are just examples. Yours will be uniquely yours given the yarns and colors you choose.
--This pattern is copyrighted by Tiny Owl, no authorship is implied by us :)
--Purchase of this pattern does not grant the right to sell your finished product. Besides, you'll want to keep yours all for yourself--although it would make a WONDERFUL heirloom quilt for a baby, newlyweds...
--Don't need polyfil? Don't need the needles? Let us know and we will substitute more yarn!

Frequently Asked Questions
We have a handful of wholesale accounts, but at this time, we are not looking for more. We thank you for your interest :)
Custom and personalized orders
The ability to customize, personalize orders is the number one reason we work mostly on a "made to order" basis. We want you to have everything just as you need/want it! We understand that this makes our shipping times slower, but we hope you will agree that we are worth the wait :)
Does your roving come in one, continuous piece?
Not always. Let us know if this is important, and we will make it happen.
Why is the shipping so high? Can you fix it?
It's a long, convoluted answer having to do with the fact that we offer variations of weight in our batts and other items. We pay the extra shipping on larger batts, but we have no way of setting the shipping lower on the sample sizes, so we have to meet somewhere in the middle --which is often WAY too much if you are ordering a quantity of sample batts.
And yes. We can fix it, just message us. Or.. check out and leave us a note reminding us to refund your excess shipping. Either way, we understand. We hate overpaying for shipping too :D
You forgot my felting needles. Will you send them?
If we forgot them, of course we will :D
But first... take a peek on the side of the foam. 99.99% of the time, they are there, just overlooked.
Why does it take 10-14 days to mail a batt?
We dye a very large proportion (60-75%!!) of our wool, Firestar and Silk. We're really proud of the number of colors we offer-- and we only have plans to do more. We do this because it the work we love to do, it's one of many things that we think make our work worthwhile, special. Additionally, we do not want our batts sitting in inventory, compacting from lack of use. And then... what if you want to customize the batt? We do that too :D
We make our batts to order because we make them for you— and we make a LOT of them, so there is usually a line when you order as well. We think they are worth the wait and hope that you will too. Naturally, if you need something faster, let us know. We work magic, that's what we do :D

Looks great and arrived very quickly. It's a gift for my daughter so I can't report on making it, but the yarn is lovely.

Shipped quickly! The assortment of mini skeins is really nice, the quality of the pattern card is really nice (heavy card stock), and the DPN's that came with the kit are very nice quality also. I have already started my hexipuffs and will be back for more mini skeins as I work through the pattern. Thank you!

I love this, can't wait to start.Do you have to stuff the hexagons or can you just sew them together?
