green, grey black wool roving, Needle Felting wool, Spinning fiber, 3 free fiber samples, Navy, moss, charcoal, purple

$3.00

Build or enhance your color palette using your favorite colors! We dyed this for a project and got busy doing something else--and now we can't recall what it was we wanted it for. So.. here it is

--You'll get one half to one ounce of hand dyed, Corriedale Cross, Navy, Charcoal, purple-black, moss colored fiber. These are dyed in small lots at a time and will vary from lot to lot. Some variegation also occurs within each ounce.

**This particular roving is currently in *made to order* status. As such, these photos are of a previous a dye lot and dye lots vary :) If you need a color that is not shown, just ask and we will get on it :D **

Some of the ways that you can use these are:
--supplement your existing fiber supply with just the color you need/want.
--Expand your library of color, texture without having to make a large investment in full sized fiber batts and roving
--discover new color combinations! (Seriously.. some of our favorite batts have been inspired by the process of preparing these little morsels!)
--embellish your needle or wet felting endeavors
--combine them with any of our other kits to expand your color, texture possibilities

*All in a biodegradable, cello bag :D

*We literally shower (Really. Using a rain shower head! :) all our yarns and fibers until the water runs clear. That said, you may *still* see some dye runoff depending on all sorts of things like *your* water, your detergent, body chemistry, and so forth. This is normal and not cause for alarm. :)

*Some free samples are bigger, some smaller. We will likely pick those that look most pleasing with the color that you ordered, so no weight/quantity is guaranteed or implied with your free gift. That said, most weigh *about* .1/ounce. Photos show examples of the possibilities. Samples are dependent largely on what we've been dyeing and carding these days -- not that we mind requests. Ever :D

*We often ship/store our wool products with lavender. Please let us know if your allergies are an issue.

*Our products are photographed in varying lights in an effort to provide as much color info as possible. Please keep in mind that all monitors display color differently.

We have, on average, over 50 rovings and 50 batts to choose from—check us out!

Frequently Asked Questions

Wholesale availability

We have a handful of wholesale accounts, but at this time, we are not looking for more. We thank you for your interest :)

Custom and personalized orders

The ability to customize, personalize orders is the number one reason we work mostly on a "made to order" basis. We want you to have everything just as you need/want it! We understand that this makes our shipping times slower, but we hope you will agree that we are worth the wait :)

Does your roving come in one, continuous piece?

Not always. Let us know if this is important, and we will make it happen.

Why is the shipping so high? Can you fix it?

It's a long, convoluted answer having to do with the fact that we offer variations of weight in our batts and other items. We pay the extra shipping on larger batts, but we have no way of setting the shipping lower on the sample sizes, so we have to meet somewhere in the middle --which is often WAY too much if you are ordering a quantity of sample batts.

And yes. We can fix it, just message us. Or.. check out and leave us a note reminding us to refund your excess shipping. Either way, we understand. We hate overpaying for shipping too :D

You forgot my felting needles. Will you send them?

If we forgot them, of course we will :D

But first... take a peek on the side of the foam. 99.99% of the time, they are there, just overlooked.

Why does it take 3-5 days to mail a batt?

We dye a very large proportion (80-90%!!) of our wool, Firestar and Silk. We're really proud of the number of colors we offer-- and we only have plans to do more. We do this because it the work we love to do, it's one of many things that we think make our work worthwhile, special. Additionally, we do not want our batts sitting in inventory, compacting from lack of use. And then... what if you want to customize the batt? We do that too :D

We make our batts to order because we make them for you. We think they are worth the wait and hope that you will too. Naturally, if you need something faster, let us know. We work magic, that's what we do :D
