It's there... in the dark recesses of your yarn stash. That tangled mess of yarn you keep promising yourself that you will untangle, save. And perhaps you will. Go, you!
Pssst... lean in...You don't have to.
Send us your tangled mess yearning to be set free. We'll make new yarn for you! We'll cut it up and card it with scrap fiber and send it back as new yarn! We card all those little bits we have left over from carding, dyeing, spinning, knitting, crocheting, wrapping and spin them up to make this novel yarn. It is bulky, bumpy and lumpy and oh, so fun to knit, crochet or felt! If you love lumpy, bulky yarn and surprises, you will love this!
How it works? Convo us and tell us what you have, what you want to send, and what you want back so we're on the same page. You send us the yarn you want reincarnated and we do the rest. Or, we will use our own yarn. you decide.
We estimate this yarn is 2:1 scrap fiber and recycled, cut yarn
Listing is per 3 oz yarn and fiber, Approx. 15 - 22 yards *per ounce* depending on how bulky it gets, for a total of 45-65 yards per listing.
This skein may or may not contain any-or all-of these fibers:
*It feels like I am not remembering everything, so if there is something you need kept *out*, just let me know. -Laura
*The photos above are past examples of what we have done, using more neutral fibers to bind the scrap yarn together. Yours will be unique. :) Please give us 14-21 business days to complete your order to allow for shipping times. Often, we'll have it done sooner, but this is a reasonable time to allow us to collect the fibers we need for your skein-especially if you want particular colors.
FYI: We're cat and dog friendly people, but we have a brick and mortar store/studio where our fibers are stored and prepped. Occasionally one of the cats--Fred-- gets in, but not for long. He's after the cat nip stash we keep for our felted cat toys, lolol!

Frequently Asked Questions
We have a handful of wholesale accounts, but at this time, we are not looking for more. We thank you for your interest :)
Custom and personalized orders
The ability to customize, personalize orders is the number one reason we work mostly on a "made to order" basis. We want you to have everything just as you need/want it! We understand that this makes our shipping times slower, but we hope you will agree that we are worth the wait :)
Does your roving come in one, continuous piece?
Not always. Let us know if this is important, and we will make it happen.
Why is the shipping so high? Can you fix it?
It's a long, convoluted answer having to do with the fact that we offer variations of weight in our batts and other items. We pay the extra shipping on larger batts, but we have no way of setting the shipping lower on the sample sizes, so we have to meet somewhere in the middle --which is often WAY too much if you are ordering a quantity of sample batts.
And yes. We can fix it, just message us. Or.. check out and leave us a note reminding us to refund your excess shipping. Either way, we understand. We hate overpaying for shipping too :D
You forgot my felting needles. Will you send them?
If we forgot them, of course we will :D
But first... take a peek on the side of the foam. 99.99% of the time, they are there, just overlooked.
Why does it take 10-14 days to mail a batt?
We dye a very large proportion (60-75%!!) of our wool, Firestar and Silk. We're really proud of the number of colors we offer-- and we only have plans to do more. We do this because it the work we love to do, it's one of many things that we think make our work worthwhile, special. Additionally, we do not want our batts sitting in inventory, compacting from lack of use. And then... what if you want to customize the batt? We do that too :D
We make our batts to order because we make them for you— and we make a LOT of them, so there is usually a line when you order as well. We think they are worth the wait and hope that you will too. Naturally, if you need something faster, let us know. We work magic, that's what we do :D
